Phil Sheppard

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

BSc KIN, MSc PT, PhD

Phil has been practising as a physiotherapist since 2013 - primarily working in private practice (with a focus on orthopaedics, sports and workplace injuries), global health and humanitarian response. When he isn’t treating sports injuries he works at Lions Gate Hospital in acute care and is a Physiotherapy Delegate with the Canadian Red Cross' Health Emergency Response Unit. Phil believes that exercise is the best form of medicine and he strives to help his patients get back to what they love most. Phil completed a Master's of Physiotherapy at Queen's University. He also holds a Master's in Biomechanics and Ergonomics from Queen’s University, a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from St. Francis Xavier University, and In 2023, Phil obtained his Doctorate in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. When he isn’t playing in the mountains or plunging himself in the closest glacier-fed river, Phil enjoys rock climbing, skiing, whitewater kayaking, weight lifting, trail running and hiking. Phil also recently started his Jiu Jitsu journey.
